Take for instance Salsa dancing: within an hour and with the proper instruction, you can learn to dance the fundamentals of this hot and spicy Latin dance!
And once you know the basics, it’s only a matter of short and sweet time before you get to know the rest. We definitely recommend trying some instructional videos (check out these stores: DanceCrazy, SalsaDanceDVD, or The Dance Store) as well as taking some group classes.
Once you get a little comfortable with the basics, bring your skills out to the clubs and ballrooms of your choice… A real experience like this will help you feel more acclimated and “in your element” when going out to dance socially.

I’ve wanted to learn Hip Hop for about 4 years now, but I can’t afford lessons. Are there any videos I can watch or download free online or any youtube videos worth watching?
If you know any simple moves that can be easily understood could you please tell me aswell.

Try youtube. Your best bet would be the ones that look like they’re from an actual studio and not just somebody at home trying to videotape themselves (but some of those are good too). It depends on what kind of hip-hop you’re interested in

He loves it when a woman dances for him but I don’t know how to dance and I get really stressed because I know it ..and he sees it that I am no) confortable when I dance for him ( even do he doesn’t tell me ). Do you have any advices on what I should buy and how i can learn to dance for him? A really good video would help! THX

I want to learn how to Break Dance?

I am very into dancing and i watch a lot of break dancing videos. There’s this free drop-in place for break dancing and i really want to go. The thing is that I have no idea how to break dance and i want to go to a beginners class but I couldn’t really find any. Do drop in break dancing studios teach beginners that have never breakdanced before or are they for experienced ppl?
also, please suggest a way of how to start learning breakdancing or how did you start ? thanksss

Wow, I don’t know why that one guy answered this, telling us his life story…
But I agree with the youtube answer. Some videos will show you how to do moves, some show dances, and some choroegraph. Quite a few are combo of those. So search and learn!

I would not think anyone would teach a class that would include anything like that. Not even a street dance class. She isn’t doing any formalized form of dance just moving to the music freestyle with a few hip hop type movements thrown in.

So apparently I can’t dance, which is no surprise to me. However, my girlfriend thinks it’s hilarious how I can’t. Anyways, I play guitar and drums (for many years) so I know I have some sense of rhythm. But I just don’t know what to do or how to

I suggest that you take Jazz and/or Hip-Hop (break dance) dance lessons.
NO, dance lessons are not only for girls. Back in the 17th century, women were not allowed to dance, only men were given the privilege.
Many dance studio’s thrive to have male dancer’s; there are just very few that have the ‘guts’ enough to join dance classes.
You do not even have to take a class with a group of people! You can take private lessons.

My dance teacher at school showed us a routine for our semester recital. Unfortunately, there is a toe rise, or exorcist, move that I simply CANNOT get down. I know what position your body is supposed to execute, but I can’t push hard enough to get off of the ground and thrust my hips out.
